MAHLE Unveils X30 Drive System for eBikes mobility outlook

MAHLE SmartBike Systems has introduced its innovative X30 drive system for E2Ws. This new addition to the eBike market features a motor, battery, HMI (human-machine interface), and other components, expanding the X-Series system platform.

At the heart of the X30 system weighs only 1.9 kg and delivering 45 Nm of torque, carrying the robust, lightweight, sporty, and intelligent DNA of MAHLE products. Designed to perform well on any terrain it sets a new benchmark for hub motors in the lightweight eBike sector.

Thw compatibility includes integration with Pulsar ONE, eShifters, HMI, iX2 or iX3 batteries, and the External Battery eX1 (e185). This ensures seamless upgrades and access to advanced features, providing consistent performance across the X Series.

The X30 system exemplifies its easy setup with its advanced technology and user-friendly design enhancing the riding experience. The rear hub motor design reduces energy losses, increasing efficiency by 15% compared to mid-drive motors. This improvement extends the eBike’s range to nearly 190 km, promoting environmentally friendly travel.

The X Series platform's versatility allows bicycle brands to create eBikes with either pedal assist sensors or cadence and torque sensors, catering to different riding preferences. The torque sensor innovation offers precise watt analysis, enabling the motor to respond accurately to the rider’s needs. Additionally, AI and machine learning technologies allow the eBike to adapt to the rider’s behaviour and environment.

The MAHLE X30 system can be customised to match the DNA of the bike brand implementing it, tailored by discipline and customer philosophy. This customisation ensures a unique riding experience for each brand, even when using the same system.
