Mahindra & Mahindra has announced a landmark achievement for its Electric Origin SUV series. The XEV 9e and BE 6 models have collectively garnered 30,179 bookings, a significant feat considering India’s total electric passenger vehicle sales for 2024 stood at approximately 1 lakh units.

Notably, 73% of the total bookings across both models were for the top-end Pack Three variant, which comes equipped with a powerful 79 kWh battery. This demand underlines the growing preference among Indian consumers for high-performance and long-range electric vehicles.

Mahindra’s success with these models can be attributed to the company’s focus on creating a premium experience for its customers. The Electric Origin series features immersive dealerships that offer a detailed showcase of the vehicles and advanced after-sales support tailored to both electric and internal combustion engine (ICE) SUVs. These initiatives enhance customer confidence and ease the transition to electric mobility.
