Mahindra has announced a new milestone achievement for the XUV700 as the model surpassed production of two lakh units. The automaker has recorded this feat in 33 months since the SUV's launch back in August 2021.
Additionally, Mahindra revealed that the XUV700 reached the production milestone of one lakh units within 21 months of its price announcement in India. To celebrate the new achievement, the homegrown brand has rolled out two new colours for the model, namely Deep Forest and Burnt Sienna.
Mahindra has always made it a point to enhance the variants and features of the XUV700 according to trends and customer demands. Earlier this year, the Indian marque introduced the MY24 XUV700, which came equipped with ventilated front seats, memory function for the ORVMs, and a new Napoli Black colour. This was later followed by the launch of the AX5 Select, MX 7-seater variant, and the Blaze Edition, the latter of which gets a matte paint scheme.
What makes the XUV700 a compelling proposition is a range of elements, be it the powerful petrol and diesel engines, the wide variant matrix, and the host of features it has to offer, right from the entry-level variant to the fully loaded top-spec trims. Further, this deal becomes sweeter by the fact that Mahindra has ramped up production, thus resulting in a lower waiting period for the car.
In terms of upcoming offerings, Mahindra will bring along the MX automatic variant, and towards the end of the year, the XUV700-based XUV.e8. This electric SUV will be the first of multiple EVs to be launched by the company in the coming months. Mahindra fans and loyalists can also look forward to the five-door Thar which is scheduled to make its world debut on 15 August.
