The raging success of the Mahindra XUV3XO has prompted rivals in the segment to up the value of their products or introduce special editions to keep the cars competitive. We saw it first with the Fronx velocity edition and now there will be a Brezza Urbano edition.
It’s based on the LXi and VXi variants and gets additional features like reverse parking camera, 8.0-inch touchscreen infotainment system, LED foglamps, front and rear skid plates, wheel arch kit, and chrome garnish for the grille and fog lamps. The higher-spec VXi trim will get fog lights, reverse parking camera, 3D floor mats, number plate frames, metal sill guards, body side moulding, and a wheel arch kit. The only engine on offer with the Brezza is a 1.5-litre four-cylinder petrol producing 102bhp/137Nm. This engine can be had with either a five-speed manual or a six-speed AT.
At the time of writing this story, Maruti has, in its lineup, the Dream series editions for the S-Presso, Celerio, Alto, Velocity Edition for the Fronx and now the Urbano Edition for the Brezza.
