Mahindra Tractors recently showcased its first Compressed Bio-Gas (CBG) powered Yuvo Tech+ tractor in New Delhi, in the presence of Nitin Gadkari, Minister of Road Transport and Highways, Government of India. Unlike Compressed Natural Gas (CNG), which relies on fossil fuels, CBG is a renewable and green fuel derived from biodegradable materials such as farm waste, food waste, and other organic matter. This makes CBG a more sustainable alternative, helping to reduce dependence on fossil fuels and lower greenhouse gas emissions.
The Mahindra Yuvo Tech+ CBG tractor is designed to deliver power and performance comparable to conventional diesel tractors, making it suitable for a wide range of farming and haulage tasks. The tractor meets all stringent Indian standards, ensuring it is both reliable and efficient for agricultural use. By integrating this technology, Mahindra aims to provide farmers with an environmentally responsible option that does not compromise on operational efficiency.
The company’s strong sales, service, and spares network further supports farmers by offering a low total cost of ownership and high resale value, making Mahindra Tractors a trusted choice in over 50 global markets.
