Mahindra has announced the opening of bookings for all nine variants of its electric SUVs, the BE 6 and XEV 9e, starting from 14 February 2025 at 9 AM. The new models will be available across different price segments offering customers a choice between multiple battery capacities and feature sets.
The BE 6 and XEV 9e will be available in five distinct packages, each offering a mix of features and performance levels. The base variant, Pack One, comes with a 59 kWh battery pack and is priced at INR 18.90 lakh (all prices ex-showroom) for the BE 6 and INR 21.90 lakh for the XEV 9e, with deliveries expected to start in August 2025. An upgraded version of this variant, Pack One Above, is priced at INR 20.50 lakh for the BE 6 but is not available for the XEV 9e. Pack Two, also with a 59 kWh battery, costs INR 21.90 lakh for the BE 6 and INR 24.90 lakh for the XEV 9e, with deliveries scheduled for July 2025. Pack Three Select is priced at INR 24.50 lakh for the BE 6 and INR 27.90 lakh for the XEV 9e, while the top-end Pack Three, which features a larger 79 kWh battery pack, is available for INR 26.90 lakh and INR 30.50 lakh respectively, with deliveries beginning in mid-March 2025. The added cost for home chargers, starting at INR 50,000 for a 7.2 kW option and INR 75,000 for an 11.2 kW unit, are to be accounted as well by customers.
The BE 6 includes a race-ready digital cockpit, illuminated logo, Bi-LED headlamps with DRLs, and LED tail lamps. Safety features include six airbags, an electronic parking brake, driver drowsiness detection, and a high-stiffness bodyshell. The vehicle also offers a Qualcomm Snapdragon chipset, dual super screens, wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, and a built-in Amazon Alexa system. Features in higher variants include a fixed glass infinity roof, wireless charging, adaptive cruise control, L2 ADAS with front and rear cross-traffic alerts, a Harman/Kardon 16-speaker audio system, and ventilated front-row seats.
The XEV 9e shares many of these features but includes additional technology such as coast-to-coast triple super screens, an advanced Qualcomm 8295 Snapdragon chipset with 24 GB RAM and 128 GB storage, and Secure360 live view and recording. The higher-end models of the XEV 9e also offer a 360-degree camera, blind view monitor, and Level 2+ ADAS with five radars and a vision camera. Other notable features include video calling, dual wireless charging, power-operated tailgate with gesture control, and VisionX augmented reality head-up display.
Both SUVs come with a choice of multiple colours, including Everest White, Deep Forest, Tango Red, Nebula Blue, Desert Myst, and Stealth Black. The BE 6 offers additional finishes such as Ruby Velvet and Firestorm Orange, while the XEV 9e includes Desert Myst Satin.
