Mahindra & Mahindra has announced the prices of the new Scorpio Classic. The OEM will retail the Scorpio Classic at introductory prices of INR 11.99 lakh onwards (ex-showroom).
The company will only sell two variants - Classic S and Classic S11. Mahindra Scorpio Classic S11 will be retailed at an ex-showroom price of INR 15.49 Lakh.
Features in the S5 include LED Tail Lamps, second row AC vents, hydraulic assisted bonnet, bonnet scoop, dual airbags, micro-hybrid tech, and Intellipark. Mahindra Scorpio Classic S11, on the other hand, also has a 22.86 cm touch screen infotainment, LED eyebrows, DRL, spoiler, diamond cut alloy wheels, and armrest on front seats.
Distinguished by its new bold grille along with a muscular bonnet and the new twin-peaks logo, the new Mahindra Scorpio Classic is powered by an all-aluminium GEN-2 mHawk engine, producing 97 kW (132 PS) of power and 300 Nm torque.
M&M claimed that the engine is 55 kgs lighter than the powerhouse it replaces and provides 14% better fuel economy over the older engine. In addition, a new six-speed cable shift has been introduced in the manual transmission.
During the unveiling of the Scorpio Classic, M&M noted that the brand had sold over eight lakh units since its introduction in 2002. Officials from vehicle maker stated that over 50% of the Scorpio customers are millennials. The Scorpio Classic will be sold alongside the all-new Scorpio-N, launched in June this year.
