Mahindra has expanded its commitment to technical training and service with the inauguration of a state-of-the-art training facility at Automall, New Town, Kolkata. The new Mahindra Institute of Learning Excellence (MILE) spans over 12,000 sq ft and is designed to enhance the expertise of Mahindra Channel Partners, International Distributors, and Fleet Owners.
The MILE facility is built to train technicians in servicing Mahindra’s Electric Origin SUVs, with a focus on INGLO electric architecture, MAIA intelligence, battery technology, and advanced diagnostics. The centre has a training capacity of over 100 participants at a time, making it one of Mahindra’s largest skill development hubs. Located strategically in Kolkata’s automotive hub, it offers easy accessibility for technicians from across the region.
To provide a hands-on learning experience, the centre features over five demonstration bays where trainees will work on real-world servicing scenarios. The facility also includes modern collision repair amenities, allowing technicians to gain expertise in body repairs, accident damage assessment, and structural integrity restoration. Additionally, the centre has dedicated aggregate overhaul sections covering engines, transmissions, axles, differentials, automatic transmissions, and electronically assisted transmissions (EATs), ensuring compliance with BS6 and 6.2 emission norms.
Mahindra’s focus on integrating electric vehicle (EV) training with conventional powertrain servicing highlights its preparation for the future of mobility. By equipping technicians with skills in EV diagnostics and servicing, the company is ensuring that its after-sales network remains at the forefront of automotive tech.
