Mahindra Logistics Limited has introduced the ‘Emission Analytics Report’, a digital platform designed to help businesses monitor and reduce their carbon emissions. This platform provides real-time visualisation of carbon emissions, enabling companies to decarbonise their supply chains effectively.
The Emission Analytics Report focuses on transportation-related emissions, specifically offering insights into Scope 3 carbon emissions. It allows users to access data on emissions intensity, tonne-kilometres, and emissions categorised by the mode of transport and fuel usage. Customers can also obtain emissions savings certificates through this platform, which is available on a subscription basis.
This platform is part of Mahindra Logistics’ broader green logistics initiative, known as Edel. Originally introduced as a green last-mile cargo delivery service, Edel has since expanded to include carbon-neutral warehousing solutions and a fleet of electric vehicles for last-mile delivery. The Emission Analytics Report further extends this ecosystem, providing users with a fully automated, SaaS-based tool that integrates seamlessly with existing systems. It is accredited by the Global Logistics Emission Council (GLEC) and complies with ISO 14083 standards, making it accessible on both web and mobile devices.
The report is particularly beneficial for businesses adhering to BRSR (Business Responsibility and Sustainability Reporting) requirements and other environmental regulations. It supports companies across various industries—including automotive, manufacturing, consumer goods, retail, and e-commerce—in tracking and reporting their Scope 3 emissions at the shipment level.
