Mahindra Launches Veero CNG LCV, Price Starting From INR 8.99 Lakh

Built on Mahindra’s modular Urban Prosper Platform (UPP), the Veero CNG is engineered to redefine the LCV category by offering best-in-class efficiency, safety, cargo capacity, and driver comfort, while promoting clean mobility.

Mahindra & Mahindra, India’s leading utility vehicle manufacturer and a dominant player in the sub-3.5-tonne light commercial vehicle (LCV) segment, has announced the pricing of its highly anticipated Veero CNG.

Available in two trims, the 1.4 XXL SD V2 CNG variant is priced at INR 8.99 lakh, while the 1.4 XXL SD V4 (A) CNG trim is priced at INR 9.39 lakh (ex-showroom). First unveiled in September 2024, sales for the Veero CNG commence today.

With a mileage of 19.2 km/kg and a 150-litre CNG tank, the Veero CNG boasts a segment-best pure CNG range of 480 km. A supplementary 4.5-litre petrol tank extends its range beyond 500 km, making it suitable for both intracity and intercity transportation.

The Turbo CNG engine delivers 67 kW of power and 210 Nm of torque, ensuring quick acceleration and optimal fuel efficiency. With a payload capacity of 1.4 tonne and a cargo length of 3,035 mm, the Veero CNG is designed to accommodate a diverse range of freight, reinforcing its suitability for commercial applications.

Safety & Comfort

Mahindra has prioritised safety with driver-side airbags, high-strength steel construction, and compliance with AIS096 crash safety standards. Additional safety features include a False Start Avoidance System and better driver visibility, ensuring enhanced protection for occupants.

Driver comfort has also been given due attention, with the Veero CNG featuring a spacious cabin that seats three, an air conditioner, a reclining driver’s seat, and a first-in-segment TFT instrument cluster. Designed for efficiency, the vehicle offers a 20,000 km service interval, reducing downtime and operational costs. Features such as Engine Stop-Start, Power Mode, and a driver fuel coaching system further enhance fuel efficiency and reduce overall expenses.
