Mahindra Last Mile Mobility Limited (MLMML), a subsidiary of Mahindra & Mahindra Limited, has solidified its position as the leading electric three-wheeler manufacturer in India, achieving a remarkable milestone in the current fiscal year. In the L5 EV category, MLMML holds a commanding 55.1% market share, Year-to-Date (YTD) FY24.
In a span of just eight months, MLMML has demonstrated exceptional growth by selling 40,000 EVs. This surge in demand was fuelled by the successful launch of two new products - Treo Plus and the e-Alfa Super rickshaw and cargo variants. This achievement underscores the escalating demand for Mahindra's electric vehicles and highlights the company's unwavering commitment to spearheading sustainable last-mile mobility solutions. To meet the continuous demand for three-wheeler EVs, production capacity has been increased threefold, with manufacturing plants strategically located in Bengaluru, Haridwar, and Zaheerabad.
MLMML's diverse range of three-wheeler EVs includes popular models such as Treo, Treo Plus, Treo Zor, Treo Yaari, Zor Grand, e-Alfa Super, and e-Alfa Cargo.
Suman Mishra, MD and CEO of MLMML, emphasised the company's customer-first approach, stating, 'In FY24, our customer-centric initiatives have strengthened our efforts to electrify the last-mile transportation space. The sale of 40,000 E3W within eight months reflects the inclusive income generation our EVs provide to the drivers. As part of its commitment to customer well-being, Mahindra Last Mile Mobility Limited offers the UDAY program. This initiative provides drivers with an accident insurance cover of INR 10 Lakh for the first year upon purchasing an MLMML EV.
