Satish Sundaresan, former Managing Director of India & Chief Strategy Officer at Elektrobit, has today officially taken over as the Chief Technology Officer (CTO) of Lumax Auto Technologies Ltd (LATL), a key entity of the Lumax-DK Jain Group.

His appointment was approved by the company’s Board of Directors on March 1, 2025. With over 24 years of expertise in automotive and mobility technology, Sundaresan aims to bring fresh innovation to LATL at a time when the industry is navigating a convergence of emerging technologies, including digitalization, sustainability, and the integration of multiple ECUs into one or two high-performance computers (HPCs) for faster processing and enhanced safety.

LATL has already established a strong presence in the automotive sector with products such as intake systems, integrated plastic modules, two-wheeler chassis and swing arms, three-wheeler trailing arms, gear shifters, transmission products, seat structures, oxygen sensors, power window switches, antenna systems, vehicle interior components, telematics solutions, and green and alternative fuel technologies. However, with the rapid evolution of emerging technologies, industry players must adopt a holistic approach while staying grounded in practical execution.

Moreover, electric vehicles (EVs) are rapidly becoming the norm, with hundreds of new models set to enter the market in 2025 globally. The EV sector is projected to grow 6.5 times by 2035, reaching a valuation of 200 billion Euros. Given Sundaresan’s experience in managing rapid technological advancements—where middleware must quickly adapt to new protocols, architectures like microservices, and emerging trends such as cloud computing, IoT, and edge computing—he is seen as a key figure in positioning LATL as a game-changer in the industry.
