Lexus India has officially opened bookings for the new Lexus LX 500d, a luxury SUV that blends power, refinement, and cutting-edge technology. Unveiled at the Bharat Mobility Global Expo 2025, the LX 500d is engineered for exceptional performance on and off the road, setting a new benchmark for sophisticated adventure mobility.
Powered by a 3.3L V6 twin-turbo diesel engine, the LX 500d delivers high torque and full acceleration even in rugged conditions, ensuring superior off-road capability. Its ladder frame construction enhances stability, rigidity, and lightweight handling, contributing to exceptional on-road performance while maintaining the strength needed for extreme terrains.
Safety & Connectivity Features
Equipped with Lexus Safety System +3.0, the SUV integrates advanced driver assistance technologies, including Pre-Collision System (PCS), Dynamic Radar Cruise Control (DRCC), Lane Trace Assist (LTA), Blind Spot Monitoring (BSM), Safe Exit Assist (SEA), Lane Departure Assist (LDA), and Adaptive High Beam System (AHS).
The Lexus Connect Technology, featuring an India-specific Data Communication Module (DCM), ensures seamless connectivity and remote vehicle access via smartphones. Key connected features include Safety Connect (E-Call SOS, Auto Collision Notification), Remote Connect (Lock/Unlock, Climate Control, Immobilization), and Service Connect (Vehicle Health Status, Theft Alarm, Stolen Vehicle Tracking).
Lexus has introduced the LX 500d Overtrail, designed for off-road enthusiasts. Featuring a bold black radiator grille, matte grey aluminium wheels, and rugged black accents on fog lamp covers, roof rails, and door mouldings, this variant exudes an adventurous, durable appeal. The exclusive Overtrail Khaki interior with Monolith-themed upholstery and Ash Open Pore Sumi Black ornamentation creates a sophisticated off-road atmosphere. The special 'Moon Desert' body colour adds a distinctive metallic depth, accentuating the SUV’s commanding presence.
To further enhance off-road performance, the Overtrail grade includes front and rear differential locks for superior traction, along with higher-profile tires and three-dimensional Matte Grey Metallic wheels for improved grip on rugged terrains.
Inside, the LX 500d features meticulously crafted interiors inspired by Japanese Takumi craftsmanship, available in Hazel and Crimson color themes with ornamentation options like Artwood Takanoha and Walnut Open Pore. A new air-bladder seat massager ensures superior comfort, while factory-applied high-quality body coating enhances the SUV’s durability and luxurious finish.
Lexus India reinforces its commitment to guest convenience with an 8-year/160,000 km vehicle warranty, a 5-year Roadside Assistance (RSA) program, and the Lexus Luxury Care service package. Customers can choose from Comfort, Relax, and Premiere options, available in 3-year/60,000 km, 5-year/100,000 km, or 8-year/160,000 km plans.
