Lectrix EV has released its latest electric scooter NDuro aimed at urban mobility with a blend of practicality and affordability. Priced at INR 89,999 (ex-showroom) for the base version, the NDuro also offers a cost-effective Battery-as-a-Service (BaaS) option at INR 999 per month, enabling wider adoption in both urban and semi-urban markets for personal and commercial buyers.
The NDuro is available in multiple pricing variants. For the first 1,000 customers, the early bird offer includes a base price of INR 57,999 plus INR 999 per month under the BaaS model (all prices ex-showroom). Post this introductory phase, the pricing shifts to INR 59,999 plus INR 999 per month for BaaS users. Alternatively, customers can opt for outright purchases, with the 2.3 kWh battery variant priced at INR 89,999 and the 3 kWh variant at INR 99,999.
Designed with versatility in mind, the NDuro boasts a top speed of 65 kmph and a gradeability of 16° for single riders. The scooter is equipped with advanced features such as live location tracking, emergency SOS, ride analytics, real-time theft alerts, and smart capabilities like Hill Hold and Efficiency Bar. With 42 litres of boot space, NDuro provides the largest storage capacity in its class, catering to both everyday commuters and adventure seekers.
Lectrix’s BaaS model is a central aspect of the NDuro’s affordability, where customers can lease the battery monthly, reducing the upfront cost of the scooter by nearly 40%. Additionally, a battery swapping option ensures minimal downtime, allowing users to exchange depleted batteries at designated swap stations. This feature is particularly advantageous for fleet operators and commercial users requiring uninterrupted mobility.
The company’s strong infrastructure and partnerships are expected to bolster the NDuro’s market penetration. Lectrix operates in over 120 cities, with 200 dealer partners and service centres across India. It also collaborates with Flipkart, offering convenient EMI options for customers purchasing the NDuro online.
The company has already deployed 10,000 batteries through its BaaS model and boasts 15,000 scooters and 30,000 three-wheelers on the road, serving over a dozen B2B clients. This experience positions Lectrix as a pioneer in addressing key barriers to EV adoption, including high initial costs and range anxiety.
