LeafyBus is a tech-enabled electric vehicle (EV) bus operator based in New Delhi. The company has announced an ambitious plan to deploy 50 premium electric buses over the next 12 months. These new buses will operate across key routes in Delhi, Uttar Pradesh, and Punjab, marking an expansion of the company’s operations in Northern India.
In a strategic move to support this expansion, LeafyBus has partnered with JBM Electric Vehicles (P) Ltd. Through this partnership, LeafyBus plans to procure a total of 200 electric buses, with the first 50 set to hit the roads in the next year. The remaining 150 buses are scheduled to be introduced in the following year, further expanding the company’s fleet and reinforcing its commitment to electric mobility. The new fleet is designed to address the increasing demand for efficient and eco-friendly transportation solutions across India.
The electric buses introduced by LeafyBus are equipped with a range of features aimed at enhancing passenger safety and comfort. Each bus is fitted with CCTV surveillance and live tracking systems, ensuring a secure travel environment. Additionally, a dedicated on-board assistant, referred to as a 'bus buddy,' will be present to assist passengers throughout their journey. The buses also adhere to strict safety standards, including Driver Monitoring Systems (DMS) and Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS), which work together to maintain high levels of safety and operational efficiency. Moreover, the interior of each bus is designed with cleanliness and comfort in mind, providing passengers with a pleasant and relaxing travel experience.
