Speciality chemicals company Lanxess has laid the foundation stone for its business unit Rhein Chemie’s new and upcoming production line at its Jhagadia site. The facility will make Rhenodiv - a new technology release agent and the project is expected to be completed in the first quarter of 2024.
Currently, the company has such a facility in Argentina. The new production line will feature state-of-the-art equipment and technology, allowing it to produce high-quality technology tyre release agents more efficiently.
With this facility, the business unit will serve the growing demand of the Indian Tyre and rubber goods market and cater to the Indian Sub-continent and Asian markets.
Rhenodiv release agents are water-based, solvent-free and free of volatile organic compounds (VOCs) and, therefore, environmentally friendly, the company said.
