Land Rover has introduced the 25MY Defender now equipped with the new V8 P425 engine. Delivering 420 bhp of power, the new engine enhances the Defender’s on-road and off-road performance. Priced from INR 1.39 crore (ex-showroom), the 25MY model aims to solidify its position in the luxury SUV segment.

The new Defender is available in three body styles—90, 110, and 130—and includes X-Dynamic HSE and X derivatives, offering flexibility to cater to diverse customer needs. Among its features is the newly introduced Captain Chairs Pack for the Defender 130, ensuring a luxurious experience for second-row passengers while providing convenient access to the spacious third row.

Performance upgrades for the 25MY Defender include advanced technologies like Terrain Response and Configurable Terrain Response for varied surfaces, as well as Electronic Air Suspension and Adaptive Dynamics for superior ride quality. The vehicle also features all-terrain tyres and 20-inch Satin Dark Grey wheels, ensuring durability and style in challenging conditions.

Inside, the Defender 25MY has premium Windsor leather seats with 14-way heated and cooled memory functionality, an 11.4-inch PiVi Pro touchscreen, and a Meridian Sound System highlight its focus on luxury. Other upgrades include configurable cabin lighting, a redesigned centre console for better storage, and advanced safety features such as a 3D Surround Camera and Matrix LED headlights.

The Defender’s design continues with features like a black contrast roof and extended leather interior options. Tailored packs, such as the Cold Climate Pack and Advanced Off-Road Pack, further enhance the vehicle’s adaptability to specific needs. Driving aids, including Electronic Active Differential and Wade Sensing, highlight its capability in extreme terrains.
