Kinetic Green has unveiled the E-Luna, a multi-utility electric two-wheeler designed to stir up the electric mobility landscape in the country. The E-Luna sets itself apart in the electric vehicle market with its unique blend of style, versatility, and affordability. The strategic pricing aligns with Kinetic Green's vision to make electric mobility accessible to the masses.
This electric marvel is not merely a mode of transportation; it represents a paradigm shift towards sustainable and inclusive mobility. The Humble Minister, Nitin Gadkari, praised the E-Luna for its contribution to the government's vision of providing e-mobility not just to Tier 1 cities but also to Tier 2, Tier 3 cities, and rural areas, fostering geographical inclusivity.
The E-Luna boasts a design with a metallic-coloured, dual-tubular, high-strength steel chassis. This chassis not only enhances the vehicle's strength and durability but also gives it a contemporary and sporty look, reminiscent of naked motorcycles. With a remarkable payload capacity of 150 kg, the E-Luna is not just a personal commuting vehicle but also a business partner for small enterprises.
Key features of the E-Luna include a 2.0 kWh lithium-ion battery pack providing a range of 110 km on a single charge, with variants offering battery options of 1.7 kWh, 2.0 kWh, and a future 3.0 kWh pack. The electric two-wheeler reaches a top speed of 50 kmph, powered by an advanced BLDC mid-mount motor with 2.2 kW peak capacity. The vehicle is equipped with features such as fast charging battery technology, swappable battery options for B2B use cases, and a sleek digital meter with real-time DTE indicators.
Sulajja Firodia Motwani, Founder and CEO of Kinetic Green, expressed her pride in the E-Luna's launch, emphasising its role in making electric mobility practical and affordable for everyone in India. She highlighted the vehicle's transformative journey, redefining electric mobility and echoing the spirit of the iconic Luna.
Arun Firodia, Chairman of Kinetic Group, underlined the E-Luna's significance as a milestone in Kinetic's journey, combining nostalgia with innovation. He proudly announced that the E-Luna is 100% designed and made in India, with key components developed by various group companies.
The E-Luna, available in five metallic colours, can be pre-booked for INR 500 on the company's website. Deliveries will commence soon from Kinetic Green dealerships nationwide, with the vehicle also available on popular e-commerce platforms like Amazon and Flipkart. The E-Luna can be personalised with a range of accessories, making it a comprehensive solution for the diverse needs of Indian consumers.
