Kia India has launched the Syros compact SUV designed to set new benchmarks in the automotive sector with its advanced technology, bold design and user-focused features. Built on the reinforced K1 platform from the Sonet, the Syros promises to enhance urban mobility with state-of-the-art innovations in safety, comfort, and connectivity. Pricing will be revealed soon, bookings start from 3rd January 2025, and finally deliveries begin from February 2025.

Under the bonnet it is powered by two engine options—a 1.0-litre turbo petrol engine generating 118 bhp 172 Nm and a 1.5-litre CRDi diesel engine with 114 bhp 250 Nm —paired with both manual and automatic transmission options. Turbo petrol gets the choice of a 6-speed manual or a 7-speed DCT, while the diesel will be offered with a 6-speed manual or a 6-speed automatic. Its longer wheelbase of 2,550mm and refined suspension system ensure superior ride quality, balancing agility for city driving with comfort for longer journeys.

Kia has equipped the SUV with Level 2 Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS) which includes 16 autonomous safety features such as Forward Collision Avoidance Assist and Lane Keep Assist. Complemented by a comprehensive safety package of 20 high-standard features, including six airbags, Electronic Stability Control, and Vehicle Stability Management, the Syros ensures optimal protection and peace of mind for drivers and passengers alike.

Kia has also prioritised customer preferences with a range of trims, including HTK, HTK+, HTX, and HTX+ variants. These options cater to diverse needs and offer features such as drive mode selection, ventilated seats, and advanced driver controls.

The Syros also integrates connectivity through Kia Connect 2.0, offering over 80 features such as real-time diagnostics, Over-the-Air (OTA) software updates, and wireless integration with Android Auto and Apple CarPlay. The vehicle is equipped with a Harman Kardon sound system and offers wireless smartphone charging, enhancing the overall driving experience.

The Syros’s bold design incorporates futuristic aesthetics with functional innovation. Highlights include Starmap LED lighting, R17 Crystal Cut alloy wheels, and a skid plate with metallic accents, further enhancing the SUV's commanding road presence.
