Kia India Surpasses 1 Lakh CKD mobility outlook

Kia India has announced surpassing the export of 100,000 completely knocked-down (CKD) units since shipments began in June 2020. The achievement is facilitated by its Anantapur manufacturing facility highlighting India’s growing significance as an export hub for the global automotive manufacturer. Kia India currently accounts for 50% of the corporation’s worldwide CKD exports underlining its pivotal role in the company’s global strategy.

In 2024 Kia India expects to export over 38,000 CKD units to Uzbekistan, Ecuador, and Vietnam. This success is attributed to the strong market performance and competitive pricing of its popular models, including the Seltos, Sonet, and Carens. These vehicles have garnered international acclaim for their quality and adaptability to diverse consumer needs.

Joonsu Cho, Chief Sales Officer, Kia India, credited the company’s manufacturing excellence and government export-friendly policies for the achievement. Looking forward, Kia India plans to expand its CKD operations into the Middle East and Africa, with an ambitious goal of doubling export volumes by 2030. Cumulatively, Kia India has exported 3.67 lakh units, reflecting the global demand for its 'Make in India' vehicles.
