Kia India has launched two anticipated models, the EV9 and the Carnival Limousine, as part of its 2.0 transformation strategy aimed at strengthening the Indian automobile market. The Kia EV9 all-electric SUV debuts at an ex-showroom price of INR 1,29,90,000. Powered by a 99.8 kWh battery, the EV9 offers a range of up to 561 km on a single charge, making it suitable for both urban commutes and long-distance journeys. The SUV's ultra-fast charging capability allows the battery to recharge from 10% to 80% in 24 minutes using a 350 kW DC charger, showcasing its efficiency in fast-paced urban settings.
The EV9 is also equipped with Kia Connect 2.0, a sophisticated connected car platform that integrates smart devices and allows remote vehicle control. Additionally, the vehicle boasts 44 controllers for remote diagnostics and over-the-air software updates, ensuring optimal performance and convenience without needing dealership visits. Kia's Vehicle-to-Everything (V2X) technology further enhances the EV9's capabilities, allowing the vehicle to interact with its surroundings and improving the driving experience.
On the design front, the EV9 adopts Kia's 'Opposites United' design philosophy, highlighted by a digital pattern lighting grille and a futuristic angular build. The SUV also offers a Trinity panoramic display that includes a 12.3-inch HD display instrument cluster, a 5-inch HVAC display, and a 12.3-inch HD touchscreen navigation system, ensuring a seamless and immersive driving experience.
The Carnival Limousine, priced at INR 63,90,000 (ex-showroom), targets premium customers seeking a luxurious and tech-driven recreational vehicle. Powered by a 2.2-litre turbocharged diesel engine with an 8-speed automatic transmission, the Carnival Limousine is designed for both city commutes and long-distance travel, offering a refined driving experience.
Inside, the Carnival Limousine redefines luxury with its two-tone Tuscan and Umber interiors, 12.3-inch curved displays, and a 12-speaker BOSE premium sound system. Second-row passengers enjoy powered relaxation seats with heating, ventilation, and leg support, ensuring maximum comfort during journeys. The vehicle's advanced safety features include 20 standard safety systems and 23 Level 2 Autonomous Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS), further enhancing its reputation as a high-end, safe, and reliable vehicle.
