Kia India Commences Third Shift To Cater To Rising Demand

With the third shift running, it will attain 100% utilisation of the plant’s annual production capacity of three lakh units.

To meet the rising demand, the Korean carmaker, Kia India, on Monday announced that it is commencing the third shift at its Anantapur plant. 

According to the press release from the company, resorting to the third shift will attain 100% utilisation of the plant’s annual production capacity of three lakh units. 

Tae-Jin Park, Managing Director and CEO, Kia India, said, “We have hired additional manpower and aligned resources to minimise the waiting period on Kia cars and help us cater to the high demand in domestic and international markets.”

Recently the carmaker announced that it has crossed the five lakh production at its Anantapur plant, including four lakh units’ for domestic sales and one lakh for exports.
