Kia India will begin a mega product offensive in the festive season this year. The Korean automobile brand is set to introduce the new-gen Carnival and the EV9 electric SUV on 3 October, which will be followed by special editions of the Sonet, Seltos, and the Carens.
It is now learned that the EV9, which is set to become Kia’s flagship electric offering in the country, will be offered in a single, fully loaded variant. To be called GT-Line AWD, it will make its way into the country via the CBU route.
Propelling the new EV9 will be a 99.9kWh battery pack paired with dual electric motors that develop an output of 379bhp and 700Nm of torque. The battery can be charged from 10-80 per cent in just 24 minutes via a 350kW charger.
Feature highlights of the 2024 Kia EV9 will include all-LED lighting, blanked-off grille, chunky dual-tone wheels, dual digital displays, multi-zone climate control, Level 2 ADAS suite, powered tailgate, powered seats for the second row, connected car technology, and a four-spoke steering wheel.
