Kia India has revised the specifications and variant matrix of the Carens MPV with immediate effect. The iMT gearbox has been discontinued and paves the way for the conventional manual transmission.
The Carens diesel manual is now available in five variants; namely Premium, Prestige, Prestige Plus, Luxury, and Luxury Plus. Further, the automaker has introduced a new Premium (O) variant, which, as the name suggests, sits above the entry-level Premium variant.
The revision in the transmission department has also resulted in a change in the prices of the Carens diesel. This price difference ranges from Rs. 2,000 to Rs. 20,000, while the price tag of the top-spec Luxury Plus variant remains unchanged.
The diesel MT range of the Kia Carens is now priced from Rs. 12.67 lakh to Rs. 18.15 lakh (all prices, ex-showroom). Additionally, the new Premium (O) variant commands a price tag of Rs. 12.90 lakh
