Kabra Extrusiontechnik has announced that its Board has approved the plan to set up a new manufacturing plant in North India to manufacture new age Lithium-ion battery packs and other ancillary products through its wholly-owned subsidiary.
With the new proposed facility, Battrixx intends to acquire a larger market share in the e-mobility segment in North India. The new facility will strengthen and serve new customers operating in the electric 2-wheeler, 3-wheeler, and light commercial vehicle (LCV) segment.
The proposed new facility will have an annual capacity of 0.75 Gwh. The announcement is part of the company’s region-focused approach and a strong emphasis on sustainability and is expected to be fully operational by Q3FY24.
