Jupiter Electric Mobility (JEM) has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Porter to promote sustainable mobility and entrepreneurial opportunities in the logistics sector. Under the agreement, Porter will support drivers and small business owners adopting JEM Tez, an electric light commercial vehicle. Through guidance and onboarding initiatives, Porter aims to help drivers enhance their business operations and maximise revenue.
JEM Udaan is a comprehensive programme designed to empower drivers and small entrepreneurs by providing professional training, business support, and access to essential electric vehicle resources. The initiative also facilitates connections between drivers and companies seeking eco-friendly logistics solutions, promoting economic growth at the grassroots level. JEM’s approach reflects a vision of integrating sustainability with economic opportunity.
Vivek Lohia, Managing Director, Jupiter Group, stated 'The JEM Udaan program is not just about transitioning to electric mobility but about empowering individuals to become entrepreneurs and contributing to a greener future. Our collaboration with Porter represents a significant step in creating a sustainable logistics ecosystem that drives growth and prosperity.'
Tanuj Khandelwal, Vice President, Porter, added 'This partnership reflects our shared commitment to sustainability and driver empowerment. By equipping individuals with entrepreneurial skills and sustainable tools, we aim to create a logistics ecosystem that benefits both the environment and livelihoods.'
The collaboration comes as the demand for sustainable mobility solutions continues to grow. By combining JEM’s expertise in electric mobility with Porter’s scalable logistics network, the partnership addresses key challenges in last-mile delivery.
