
Jupiter Electric Mobility (JEM), which is the electric vehicle arm of the Jupiter Group, has launched its flagship electric light commercial vehicle, JEM TEZ. The company also marked the inauguration of its advanced manufacturing plant in Pithampur, Indore. The vehicle is launched at an ex-showroom price of INR 10.35 lakh, making it a competitive option in the e-CV segment.
The vehicle boasts a true driving range of over 190 km, which cover more than the average use of of the segment though cities. TEZ has a peak motor power of 80 kW, backed by a strong 265Nm torque and a 23% gradeability, making it well-suited for urban freight transport and last-mile delivery. With a certified payload capacity of 1.05 tonnes, the JEM TEZ is positioned as a high-performance yet cost-effective solution. Its fast-charging capability enables it to gain over 100 km of range within one hour using any CCS2 charger, enhancing its usability for commercial use.

This manufacturing plant reinforces JEM’s commitment to end-to-end production. The facility has an initial capacity to produce between 8,000 and 10,000 electric light commercial vehicles annually, with provisions for further expansion to meet increasing demand. The company aims to scale up its operations significantly, targeting a revenue of ₹100 crore in its first year, with plans to double its growth annually.
Vivek Lohia, Managing Director, emphasised the company’s commitment to setting new benchmarks in electric vehicle production through advanced manufacturing and technology integration. In addition to production growth, JEM is focused on infrastructure development, job creation, and an expanded product portfolio to meet evolving market needs.
Jupiter Electric Mobility plans a phased rollout of the JEM TEZ across key Indian cities, starting with Bengaluru, Delhi, Hyderabad, Ahmedabad, Mumbai, Kolkata, and Chennai, where electric vehicle adoption is rapidly increasing. The company has also partnered with firms such as Porter, Pulse Energy, Battwheel, and Tapfin to develop an integrated EV ecosystem, ensuring access to charging infrastructure, financing solutions, and after-sales support. These collaborations aim to enhance JEM’s operational efficiency and market reach.
