In a bid to redefine expectations in the compact SUV segment, JSW MG Motor India has repositioned the MG Astor as ‘The Blockbuster SUV’ with the launch of its MY2025 Edition. The Astor is now open for bookings at JSW MG dealerships nationwide.
With a starting price of INR 9.99 lakh (ex-showroom), the new MG Astor is the only SUV in its segment to offer a panoramic sunroof under INR 12.5 lakh, available in the newly introduced Shine variant. The Select variant further ups the ante with six airbags and Ivory Leatherette seats, enhancing both safety and comfort.

The 2025 Astor is powered by two petrol engine options: a 1.5L naturally aspirated engine available with manual and CVT, and a 1.3L turbocharged engine paired with a 6-speed automatic transmission. Designed to appeal to experience-driven buyers, the Astor now boasts over 50 safety features, along with a premium cabin that includes a panoramic sunroof, ventilated front seats, wireless charging, and auto-dimming IRVM.
A major highlight remains its cutting-edge AI-powered personal assistant, the first of its kind in India, along with Level 2 ADAS features—including lane keep assist, adaptive cruise control, and autonomous emergency braking. The SUV is also loaded with i-SMART 2.0, offering 80+ connected features and an updated Advanced User Interface for a more intuitive digital experience.
Among its smart additions, the Astor integrates Jio Voice Recognition, allowing users to access real-time cricket updates, weather reports, horoscopes, and more using natural voice commands. The Digital Key and Anti-Theft functionality offer added peace of mind—even in areas with limited network connectivity.
