JSW MG Motor India has unveiled the fifth season of MG Changemakers in collaboration with ‘The Better India’. This year’s programme themed UnchartedRoads - Fearless Women, Inspiring Journeys, celebrates six remarkable women who have broken barriers and driven significant societal change. By highlighting their extraordinary achievements, the initiative aims to inspire communities across India to embrace positive transformation.
Launched on 8 November 2024 in Gurugram, MG Changemakers focuses on individuals who defy traditional norms and create innovative solutions for social challenges. This season shines a spotlight on women who have excelled across diverse fields, such as human rights, sustainable finance, sports, and environmental activism. The honourees include Hasina Kharbhih, who has rescued 72,000 individuals from human trafficking; Vasudha Madhavan, founder of India’s first investment bank for electric mobility and sustainability; and Diana Pundole, the first Indian woman to win a national motorsports championship. Also recognised are Gitika Talukdar, India’s first female sports photographer to cover the Olympics; Niharika Nair, who has facilitated access to government schemes for 1,200 tribal people; and Mala Honnatti, a 69-year-old mountaineer scaling global peaks and running marathons.
Biju Balendran, Managing Director, JSW MG Motor India, stated that MG Changemakers not only celebrates the achievements of women trailblazers but also seeks to empower others to follow their path of resilience and impact. Since its inception, MG Changemakers has grown into a platform that amplifies stories of courage and determination, shaping public discourse around the potential for meaningful change.
