Jet Airways Announces Key Senior Management Appointments

The airlines appointed Prabh Sharan Singh as the Chief Digital Officer, HR Jagannath as the Vice President – Engineering, Mark Turner as the Vice President – Inflight Product and Services and Vishesh Khanna as the Vice President – Sales, Distribution, and Customer Engagement

The Jalan Kalrock Consortium (JKC) has announced new appointments for the Jet Airways leadership team.

Sanjiv Kapoor, Chief Executive Officer, said, “All of us in the senior management team of Jet Airways share many things in common, the most important of which is our joint sense of purpose and passion of rebuilding Jet as India’s most people-focused and loved airline, updated for the digital age.”

Prabh Sharan Singh will be the Chief Digital Officer w.e.f June 1, 2022. He will be responsible for IT and the digital division and lead the creation of a modern technological and digital ecosystem for Jet Airways.

Singh's previous airline experience includes stints at Etihad Airways and Kingfisher Airlines, where he was Strategy & Portfolio Lead within the carrier’s Digital Technology & Innovation division, and General Manager – Commercial Alliances, respectively. 

HR Jagannath has ben appointed as the Vice President – Engineering effective from May 23, 2022 and will lead Jet’s engineering and maintenance team. 

Prior to joining the Jet Airways, Jagannath had a 40 year stint at Air India across different roles with his most recent being the Chief Executive Officer of Air India Engineering Services. 

He also led the delivery of two specially configured Boeing 777 aircraft to the Indian Air Force for VVIP operations.

Mark Turner has been appointed as the Vice President – Inflight Product and Services and will take charge on June 15, 2022.

Turner will be responsible for defining and shaping the inflight customer experience of the airline including cabin crew operations, training, and service development, inflight product development, and catering. 

He also led Jet Airways’ inflight services team between 2008 and 2011 and prior to that held key senior management positions at Gulf Air, Emirates, Qatar Airways, and Fiji Airways.

Vishesh Khanna has been appointed as the Vice President – Sales, Distribution, and Customer Engagement w.e.f July 2022 and he will be oversee customer engagement as well, covering customer relations and the contact centre.

Khanna had worked earlier with Vistara as Sales for India and Overseas Markets along with Kingfisher Airlines from 2010 to 2013 as the VP Corporate Sales and InterGlobe Technology Quotient (Galileo India) as the VP Corporate Sales.

Earlier this year, JKC appointed Sanjiv Kapoor as CEO, Vipula Gunatilleka as CFO, Capt. PP Singh as Vice President- Flight Operations and Accountable Manager, Alphonso Dass as Vice President – Airports & Airport Training, Nakul Tuteja as Vice President – Human Resources & Administration, and Ronit Baugh as General Manager & Head of PR and Corporate Communications
