Jeep India has once again raised the bar in the SUV market with the launch of its most advanced and capable version of the iconic Wrangler to date. The 2024 Jeep Wrangler, known globally for its robust off-road prowess, arrives in India boasting an array of new features, including a redesigned seven-slot grille, state-of-the-art safety enhancements, and a host of interior luxuries that blend rugged functionality with modern technology.
The new Wrangler introduces an upgraded exterior that includes the iconic seven-slot grille, now reimagined with black textured slots and neutral grey metallic bezels, alongside five new wheel designs. It's not just about looks; the Wrangler enhances functionality with its Gorilla glass windshield and an integrated trail-ready stealth antenna.
Inside, the vehicle sees a major overhaul with more technology and luxurious amenities. It features 12-way power adjustable front seats and an all-new instrument panel that includes the latest Uconnect 5 system with a 12.3-inch touchscreen. This system offers wireless connectivity with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, ensuring a seamless interface for users.
Jeep has significantly upgraded the Wrangler’s safety kit, now offering over 85 advanced active and passive safety features. This includes Adaptive Cruise Control with Stop and Go, Front Collision Warning with Active Emergency Braking, and a unique Integrated Off-roading Camera with a washer to maintain visibility in all conditions.
Under the bonnet, the 2024 Wrangler is powered by a 2.0-litre turbocharged inline four-cylinder engine, producing 266 bhp of power and 400 Nm of torque. This engine is part of the Global Medium Engine architecture, designed for performance and efficiency. The vehicle also features a robust body-on-frame design and a five-link coil suspension setup, optimised for both on-road comfort and off-road capabilities.
The vehicles, including the premium lifestyle variants, the Wrangler Unlimited and Wrangler Rubicon, are set to be delivered starting mid-May 2024, with prices beginning at INR 67.65 lakh(ex-showroom). Kumar Priyesh, Brand Director at Jeep India, commented on the launch, 'The Jeep Wrangler's enduring success is a testament to its unmatched capability and timeless design.
