Jawa Yezdi Motorcycles, known for bringing 'Neo-Classic' motorcycles to the Indian market, has introduced the 2024 version of its Jawa 42. The latest model aims to continue the brand's tradition of combining classic design elements with modern performance and engineering.
The 2024 Jawa 42 features a new 294cc J-Panther liquid-cooled engine, delivering 27.32 PS of power and 26.84 Nm of torque. The motorcycle includes various technical upgrades aimed at improving ride quality and performance. These include refined noise, vibration, and harshness (NVH) levels, gear-based throttle mapping, and smoother gear shifting. Additionally, the motorcycle has improved ground clearance, a retuned suspension system, and an enhanced seat, contributing to better comfort and safety for riders.
Anupam Thareja, Co-founder of Jawa Yezdi Motorcycles, said, 'We’ve focused on refining every aspect of the bike to deliver a balanced and efficient riding experience. Our approach to ‘price-performance’ engineering is evident in the upgrades we’ve implemented, making this model a strong contender in its class.'
The 2024 Jawa 42 also sees improvements in braking and handling, areas that have been prioritized in this update. The bike now includes features such as an assist & slip (A&S) clutch, a heavier magneto, and a larger throttle body, all aimed at enhancing the overall riding dynamics.
