International Tractors Limited (ITL) has launched three new series of Solis tractors for the global market. This includes a new SV Solis electric tractor that can be charged from 0-100% in 3-3.5 hours.

The new launches are spread across the N series, designed for narrow farm use such as orchards and vineyards, C series with Stage-V series engine designed for robustness, S series with powerful 10hp-125hp outputs for tougher farm applications, SV series as zero-emission solutions and H series with Hydrostatic Automatic Transmission (HAT) for more comfort and ease of use.

Revealed at ITL’s Global Partners Summit (GPS) 200 with participation from across the world, the company has also announced the expansion of its largest plant in Hoshiarpur, Punjab, through an investment of $100 million. The facility will boost production to three lakh units annually, with 80% in-house manufacturing. ITL sells tractors in over 150 countries, and Brazil is the biggest export market.

Series C tractors will cater to European markets, Series N will cater to Europe, USA, Africa and South Americas, while Series H, S and SV will be available globally. ITL boasts that all these products have been designed using the latest technology, developed for minimising emission and will prove to be robust for extensive usable hours. The company has an extensive dealer network spread across the globe, and much attention goes into dealing with aftersales services promptly.

Sushant Sagar Mittal, Executive Director, ITL, mentioned at the launch “Our commitment to develop hero products for our customers with superior quality and offer world-class customer service has inspired us to invest INR 850 crore in technology up-gradation with our new plant and INR 150 crore into R&D to launch a new tractor series. All our new tractors reflect our dedication to innovation and our commitment to ensure prosperity for the world farming community”.
