Cab-Chassis Variant To D-MAX mobility outlook

Isuzu Motors India has expanded its D-MAX commercial vehicle range by launching a new Cab-Chassis variant. D-MAX pick-up will now offer customers in the commercial segment more flexibility to meet their specific needs. The Isuzu D-MAX Single Cab 1.7 Cab-Chassis Std variant is priced at an introductory price of INR 9,99,990 (ex-showroom, Chennai). Bookings are now open and deliveries set to commence shortly.

By providing a Cab-Chassis option, Isuzu gives businesses the freedom to construct their own load-bodies, customised to their particular requirements. This flexibility allows operators to optimise the vehicle for long trips and specific business needs.

Powered by a 2.5-litre ISUZU 4JA1 engine, the D-MAX range projects an aggressive stance with its distinctive aerodynamic exterior design. This bold look is complemented by an interior layout that rivals passenger vehicles, adding a sense of pride for the owner. The D-MAX features seats with high-quality fabric upholstery and height-adjustable seat belts, ensuring occupant comfort and safety. Its Multi-Information Display (MID) cluster, equipped with a Gear Shift Indicator (GSI), helps drivers maintain the ideal gear in any driving condition, optimising torque, fuel management, and drivetrain durability.

The D-MAX is built on a heavy-duty iGRIP chassis, a hallmark of Isuzu’s renowned durability and superior vehicle dynamics. The cab is constructed from high-tensile steel, enhancing safety, while the vehicle's suspension system—independent coil springs in the front and rigid leaf springs at the rear—provides greater stability. The D-MAX offers top-tier occupant safety features, including front and rear crumple zones, a cross-car front beam, door side intrusion protection, a collapsible steering column, and underbody steel protection for the drivetrain. Additionally, it includes a Brake Override System (BOS), which cuts power to the engine during panic braking, adding an extra layer of safety.
