In a landmark move celebrating 60 years of diplomatic relations between Israel and Germany, the Israel Innovation Authority and Fraunhofer-Gesellschaft, Europe’s largest applied research organisation, have signed a joint declaration to bolster technological innovation and cross-border collaboration.

The collaboration aims to accelerate the development of breakthrough technologies and foster direct partnerships between Israeli and German companies, while also integrating with broader frameworks such as Horizon Europe.

Dror Bin, CEO of the Israel Innovation Authority, stated, “This collaboration brings together Israel’s tech agility and Germany’s research excellence. By uniting our strengths, we are positioned to create impactful innovations that tackle global challenges and improve lives around the world.”

Echoing this sentiment, Holger Hanselka, President of Fraunhofer-Gesellschaft, said, “Innovation and ingenuity are our nations' most powerful resources. This partnership enables the transfer of scientific knowledge into real-world applications and fosters an ecosystem where researchers and entrepreneurs can thrive together.”
