Noida International Airport (NIA) has partnered with Indraprastha Gas Limited (IGL) to develop Compressed Natural Gas (CNG) infrastructure at the airport, marking a step towards sustainable and efficient transportation solutions. As part of the partnership, IGL will also build the City Gas Distribution (CGD) network at the airport to ensure seamless connectivity to the newly established CNG stations.

Additionally, the collaboration includes the development of a pipeline infrastructure for supplying piped natural gas (PNG) to food and beverage outlets, lounges, and kitchens within the terminal and ancillary airport facilities. This initiative underscores NIA’s commitment to providing cleaner energy solutions and supporting the transition to greener mobility.

The initiative not only reduces reliance on conventional fossil fuels but also promotes the adoption of sustainable mobility solutions for passengers, employees, and partners. The airport aims to position itself as a leader in green infrastructure, reflecting its focus on sustainability in all operational aspects.

Currently in its first phase, Noida International Airport features one runway and one terminal, with the capacity to handle 12 million passengers annually. Upon completion of its fourth phase, the airport will expand to accommodate up to 70 million passengers per year.
