As the new President, Bajaj is committed to advancing IBMA’s mission of building a sustainable, innovative, and globally competitive battery manufacturing industry in India.

At its 3rd Annual General Meeting held in New Delhi, the Indian Battery Manufacturers Association (IBMA) elected Preeti Bajaj, CEO and MD of Luminous Power Technologies, as its new President.

In addition to Bajaj's election, Rajesh Jindal, President & Chief Marketing Officer of Amara Raja Energy & Mobility, was elected as the new Vice President of IBMA.

Bajaj plans to drive technological advancements, promote sustainable practices, and strengthen India's leadership in the global battery sector. Expressing her enthusiasm for her new role, Bajaj highlighted the pivotal moment the energy sector is experiencing and emphasised her eagerness to collaborate with IBMA members to elevate the industry both nationally and internationally.

During the meeting, participants from the Delhi Pollution Control Committee acknowledged IBMA's initiatives and suggestions regarding the implementation and compliance with the Battery Waste Management Rules (BWMR 2022).
