India Yamaha Motor (IYM) today launched the R15M with Carbon Fibre Pattern graphic, showcasing the brand’s Japanese design and engineering excellence.

Powered by a 155cc liquid-cooled engine inspired by the R1, the R15M is designed as a SuperSport bike, embodying Yamaha’s Racing DNA.

The Carbon Fibre Pattern, inspired by the R1M’s carbon bodywork, is applied using modern water-dipping technology for a sleek finish. It enhances the front cowl, side fairings, and rear side panels, complemented by an all-black fender, new decals, and blue wheels for a race-inspired look.

The latest R15M upgrade includes advanced features such as turn-by-furn navigation and music & volume control, accessible through the Y-Connect app available on Android and iOS platforms. Additional enhancements include updated switchgear and a new LED license plate light.

Eishin Chihana, Chairman of Yamaha Motor India Group of Companies, said, “The R15 has delivered class-leading performance since its launch in 2008, allowing Indian consumers to experience Yamaha’s Racing DNA. With the new R15M, we’ve raised the bar further, offering a powerful engine, innovative features, and race-inspired styling that will continue to thrill premium motorcycling enthusiasts.”

The R15M boasts a fuel-injected 155cc engine, delivering 14.2 Nm of torque at 7,500 rpm and 13.5 kW of power at 10,000 rpm. Key features include a Traction Control System to reduce wheel spin, a Quick Shifter for seamless gear shifts, and an Assist and Slipper Clutch to prevent excessive engine braking during aggressive downshifts.

The bike also comes with Yamaha’s unique Variable Valve Actuation (VVA) system, which optimises power and torque across the RPM range, along with a fully digital color TFT screen and Bluetooth connectivity for a smooth, high-tech riding experience.
