Imperial Auto Industries Acquires Metallwerk Biebighauser GmbH mobility outlook

Imperial Auto Industries Ltd (IAIL) has successfully acquired the assets of Metallwerk Biebighauser GmbH (Biebighauser), a prominent German manufacturer of metal tubular assemblies for the automotive industry. Biebighauser is renowned for supplying critical components to some of the largest European Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEMs), including Volkswagen, BMW, and Mercedes. The company utilises highly automated processes and boasts diverse capabilities across multiple divisions, making it a valuable addition to Imperial’s operations. This strategic move not only enhances Imperial’s presence in Europe but also unlocks significant revenue potential and strengthens its ability to meet the growing demand for electric vehicle (EV) components.

Imperial Auto is supported by Warburg Pincus, a leading global growth investor. The company has demonstrated strong organic growth over the past three years, more than doubling its revenue through robust performance in both domestic and export markets. With the acquisition of Biebighauser, Imperial Auto is expected to generate revenues exceeding INR 4,500 crore.
