Hyundai Motor India has announced that the upcoming Verna will feature Hyundai SmartSense – Level 2 ADAS functionality. The vehicle will use automated sensing technology with radars (front and rear), sensors and cameras (front) to detect road obstacles and initiate corrective action & warnings, thereby offering comprehensive protection during all climatic and even foggy driving conditions.
The feature will enable the vehicle to perform forward collision warning, forward collision-avoidance assist- pedestrian, cycle and junction turning, blind-spot collision warning, lane keeping assist, driver attention warning and safe exit warning.
Besides, the car also gets smart cruise control with stop & go, lane following assist, high beam assist, leading vehicle departure alert, rear cross-traffic collision warning and rear cross-traffic collision-avoidance assist.
In addition to these advanced safety features, the new Verna is also set to feature 30 Standard Safety features, including six airbags (driver, passenger, curtain and side) across all trims, speed-sensing auto door lock, impact sensing auto door unlock, ABS with EBD, emergency stop signal), headlamp escort function, automatic headlamps, ISOFIX, lane change indicator and burglar alarm among others.
