Hyundai Motor India has named its upcoming sub-compact SUV ‘Exter’, which is slated to sit below the Venue in the company’s line-up.
A press release from the company said the new SUV draws inspiration from the natural world around it and reflects an identity that is external and focused on the outside.
The Exter is being targeted at the GenZ customers, and will hold a strong position in the company’s SUV line-up, the release added.
Tarun Garg, COO, Hyundai Motor India, said the Exter is HMI’s eighth model in its line up with a SUV body style and “we are confident that this new member to our family will provide further fillip to our growth in SUV sales.”
As per SIAM data, with a total of five SUVs in the product portfolio, Hyundai Motor India sold 301,681 SUVs in FY23, which is 46.84% of its total sales in the fiscal.
