Hyundai India has announced that it will retail the latest Tucson at starting prices of INR 2,769,700. The fourth generation Tucson was revealed in India last month.

More than seven million units of previous generations of Hyundai Tucson have been sold in the global markets so far. The new Hyundai Tucson is powered by a 1999cc petrol or a 1997cc diesel engine. The former is mated to a 6-speed AT transmission, while the latter comes paired with an 8-speed AT transmission.

The petrol engine can generate a maximum power of 156 PS at 6,200 rpm and maximum torque of 192 Nm at 4,500 rpm, while the diesel variant can generate a maximum power of 186 PS at 4,000 rpm, delivering a maximum torque of 416 Nm at 2,000 to 2,750 rpm, claimed the company.

Featuring Bluelink, which offers 60 connected car features, the SUV comes equipped with the choice of six-colour ambient lighting that can be adjusted by the user. A three-year free Bluelink subscription will be on offer for the customers.

SmartSense with Level-2 ADAS capability has been made a standard part of the vehicle across the diesel and petrol variants. The vehicle also features six airbags, hill descent and assist control, and electronic stability control.

The OEM's HTRAC All-Wheel Drive (AWD) system, along with Multi-Terrain Modes (Snow/Mud/Sand), is also equipped in the car. Hyundai had earlier noted that the AWD ECU identifies traction conditions and driving state to control torque delivery. The hands-free boot opening is also one of the highlights of the latest vehicle.
