Another rival for the duo will be the upcoming Honda Elevate EV.

Hyundai launched the Creta facelift in the country earlier this year, followed by its sportier iteration, called the Creta N Line. After introducing the facelifted Alcazar by the end of 2024, the carmaker will have its sights set on the mid-size SUV segment of the EV market.

The electric version of the Creta mid-size SUV is confirmed to launch in early 2026 and upon launch, it will have two key rivals including the Maruti Suzuki eVX and the Honda Elevate EV. Notably, this derivative of the brand’s most popular offering will be one of the five EVs that the Korean marque plans to introduce by 2030.

To be based on the facelifted version in terms of design, the Creta EV will get split headlamps, LED DRLs, new grille, tweaked front and rear bumpers, sequential turn indicators, LED taillights, and LED light bars at the front and rear. Inside, it will receive a panoramic sunroof, Level 2 ADAS suite, 360-degree camera, ventilated front seats, and a dual screen setup on the dashboard. The gear lever is likely to be replaced by a rotary dial.

Hyundai has remained tight-lipped when it comes to the powertrain that will drive the Creta EV once it is launched. That said, we expect a 60kWh battery pack returning a range of approximately 500km in a single full charge.
