According to Hyundai, one Creta is sold every five minutes.

Hyundai has broken the 10 lakh units sales mark for its Creta mid-size SUV. This is the fastest feat ever achieved by a vehicle in this part of the market and comes on the back of the success that the Creta has tasted since it was launched in 2015.

The USP of the Creta had always been its feature list and large powertrain combination making it a diverse product in a then nascent segment dominated by sedans. Right from the first-gen introduced in 2015, it was equipped with automatic climate control, automatic headlamps, and a seven-inch touchscreen infotainment system. Launched earlier this year, the current-gen car also boasts some major stuff like a Level 2 ADAS suite, 360-degree camera, ventilated front seats, powered driver seat, panoramic sunroof, dual-zone climate control, and rear window sunshades.

Hyundai will further up the value chain of the Creta range by adding an N Line version for the first time. It will be a fully loaded model and will make use of the 1.5 GDi turbo petrol paired with a seven-speed DCT or a six-speed MT. It will arrive by the end of this FY.  The standard Creta gets a 1.5-litre NA petrol engine, 1.5-litre diesel mill, and of course the 1.5-litre turbo-petrol motor. The range of transmission options include a six-speed manual unit, IVT unit, six-speed torque converter automatic unit, and a seven-speed DCT unit.

Launched originally in 2015, the Creta has accounted for a sale of one unit every five minutes according to the carmaker. Additionally, Hyundai has exported over 2.80 lakh units of the Creta across the globe. Hyundai introduced the Creta facelift last month, with prices starting at Rs. 11 lakh (ex-showroom). This version has already received more than 60,000 bookings in less than a month.
