Honda Cars India unveiled its compact SUV, Elevate, in Delhi on Tuesday.  Bookings open from July onwards and it will be launched during the festive season.

The Elevate is powered by a 1.5L i-Vtec petrol engine paired to a either a six speed manual transmission or a CVT producing 121 hp and 145 Nm of torque.

With 4312 mm length and a wheelbase of 2650 mm, the SUV will take on the Hyundai Creta, Kia Sletos, Suzuki Grand Vitara, Toyota Hyryder and the upcoming Citroen C3 Aircross.

Besides the engine and the platform, Elevate shares a few components with the City and Amaze. The cabin sees a new 10.25 inch touchscreen infotainment system with wireless android auto and Apple CarPlay. It also has a 7 inch HD colour TFT instrument cluster as the City.

The SUV also carries Honda Sensing from the City which has features such as lane keep assist, collision mitigation braking, road departure mitigation, adaptive cruise control, and auto high beam along with lead car departure notification.

As for active safety features, Elevate gets a lane watch camera, rear seat reminder, vehicle stability assist, hill start assist, emergency stop signal and rear parking sensors.
