Honda Motorcycle & Scooter India (HMSI) has launched the 'NX500' adventure tourer through the Completely Built-Up (CBU) route, priced at INR 5.9 lakh (ex-showroom New Delhi). The All-New Honda NX500 is offered in three colour schemes - Grand Prix Red, Matte Gunpowder Black Metallic, and Pearl Horizon White.
The NX500, short for 'New X-over', inherits popular traits while introducing new styling elements and a range of upgrades. Crafted for adventure enthusiasts, it promises better experience across diverse terrains, from winding roads to gravel trails and long-distance journeys.
Equipped with a new 5-inch full-colour TFT screen, the motorcycle features customisable displays, IOS/Android smartphone connectivity, turn-by-turn navigation, and an emergency stop signal feature for enhanced safety.
Powering the NX500 is a 471cc, liquid-cooled, 4-stroke DOHC engine with a parallel-twin layout. Delivering 35kW power at 8,600rpm and 43Nm peak torque at 6,500rpm, the motorcycle ensures an enjoyable performance with a zippy top end. The assist/slipper clutch and switchable HSTC system further enhance the riding experience, managing rear wheel traction on various terrains.
The adventure tourer features a steel diamond-tube mainframe, ensuring an optimal balance between lightweight design and structural rigidity. Equipped with 19-inch front and 17-inch rear trail-pattern radial tyres, Showa front forks, Pro-Link mono-suspension, and dual-channel ABS, the NX500 promises better comfort on both on-road and off-road journeys.
Tsutsumu Otani, Managing Director, President & CEO, Honda Motorcycle & Scooter India, said, 'This modern street adventure motorcycle is a testament to our unwavering commitment to innovation and offers pure riding thrill. With its daily crossover design, premium technology & lively twin-cylinder engine, the NX500 is set to redefine the riding experience of customers and celebrate the spirit of adventure on two-wheels.'
