Honda Motorcycle & Scooter India (HMSI) has introduced the updated Shine 100 compliant with OBD2B emission norms. The latest iteration of the Shine 100 features subtle design enhancements while ensuring compliance with stricter environmental regulations. The bike now sports refreshed body graphics, a Honda logo, and an aerodynamic front cowl.
It also retains blacked-out alloy wheels, an aluminium grab rail, a long single-piece seat, and a sleek muffler, all designed to enhance both aesthetics and rider convenience. The model is available in five colour options—Black with Red, Black with Blue, Black with Orange, Black with Gray, and Black with Green—offering variety to customers with different style preferences.
The Shine 100 is built on a lightweight diamond-type frame, designed for stability and comfort. It features telescopic front forks and twin rear shock absorbers to ensure a smooth ride across different road conditions. For braking, the motorcycle is equipped with drum brakes at both ends, supported by Honda’s Combined Braking System (CBS) for added safety.
At its heart is a 98.98cc, single-cylinder, air-cooled, fuel-injected engine, now updated to meet OBD2B compliance standards. The engine delivers maximum power of 7.2 bhp at 7,500 rpm and a peak torque of 8.04 Nm at 5,000 rpm, paired with a 4-speed transmission. While not a major upgrade in terms of performance, the refinements ensure that the model remains efficient and practical for daily commuting. The updated Shine 100 is available in a single variant and is now on sale at all HMSI dealerships across India.
