The Honda India Foundation (HIF) recently organised a felicitation ceremony for top performers from its Honda Ki Pathshala initiative, held at the Honda Samajik Vikas Kendra in Naurangpur. The event celebrated the achievements of students who excelled in the program, which aims to provide after-school education to underprivileged children. Ten students were selected from over 1,300 participants across 26 centres in Haryana, Rajasthan, and Uttar Pradesh.
Honda Ki Pathshala, a Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) initiative by HIF in collaboration with the NGO KHUSHII (Kinship for Humanitarian Social and Holistic Intervention in India), focuses on reducing dropout rates and improving academic performance among students from disadvantaged communities. The program has helped over 2,500 students across 50 centres in India by offering academic support, outdoor activities, and leadership programs.
The event was graced by former Indian cricketer and KHUSHII’s founder, Kapil Dev, who highlighted the positive impact the initiative has had on students in various regions, including Haryana, Rajasthan, and Uttar Pradesh. Dev stated, 'We are making a meaningful difference in their education and future, and we are grateful to Honda for joining us in this mission.'
Vinay Dhingra, Trustee of the Honda India Foundation, noted that Honda Ki Pathshala aims to nurture leadership qualities and equip students with essential skills to succeed. The initiative, which includes gender sensitisation and child rights sessions, strives to ensure holistic development for all participants.
