Honda Cars India Ltd. (HCIL) has crossed a significant milestone, achieving over 1 lakh cumulative sales for its global SUV model, the Honda Elevate.

Since its launch in India in September 2023, the Honda Elevate has resonated strongly with consumers, with 53,326 units sold in the domestic market. Adding to this success, HCIL has exported 47,653 units to diverse markets including Japan, South Africa, Nepal, and Bhutan. This export performance marks the Elevate as HCIL’s first Made in India model to reach Japan, reinforcing the company’s commitment to delivering global quality.

The model’s export success is not only a testament to its design and performance but also to HCIL’s robust manufacturing capabilities. Since the start of its exports in 2023, the Honda Elevate has driven a 65% growth in HCIL’s export business during FY’23-24, with an even more impressive increase of over 92% in the current financial year (April 2024 – January 2025). This growth underscores HCIL’s enhanced global reach and competitive edge in the premium SUV segment.

Kunal Behl, Vice President, Marketing & Sales at Honda Cars India Ltd., stated, “Achieving the 1 lakh cumulative sales milestone for the Elevate is a proud moment for all of us. It not only solidifies Honda’s presence in India’s domestic SUV market but also highlights our strong export business. The exceptional design, ‘Fun to Drive’ dynamics, and advanced safety features have garnered remarkable acceptance among customers across diverse markets. We are grateful for the trust and support of our customers, which continues to drive our commitment to excellence.”
