Honda Motorcycle and Scooter India (HMSI) reaffirmed its commitment to road safety by organising a highly successful awareness campaign at Raghav Global School in Noida. With a focus on promoting safe riding habits, the event witnessed active participation from over 1800 school students and staff members.
HMSI, prioritising safety, employed its expertise to ensure that every ride is secure. The campaign, held at Raghav Global School, achieved a significant milestone in reaching out to a large audience, engaging them through innovative activities such as slogan writing, poster making contests, road safety quizzes, and article writing competitions. These endeavours aimed to leave a lasting impact on the participants and instil a culture of responsible road usage.
Recognising that children are the future of society, HMSI has been actively conducting interactive and engaging road safety awareness programs for different age groups. The programs extend to schools, colleges, government institutions, and non-governmental organisations. The belief is that raising awareness among children at an early stage contributes to building accident-free roads.
HMSI conducts daily programs at its 10 adopted Traffic Training Parks (TTP) and 6 Safety Driving Education Centres (SDEC) across India. With a team of skilled safety instructors, the National Road Safety Awareness program has reached over 5.7 million Indians.
The program employs a scientifically devised learning module, including theory sessions on road signs, driving responsibilities, riding gear, and safe riding etiquettes. Practical learning involves participants experiencing various dangers on the road using Honda's virtual riding simulator. An interactive session named 'Kiken Yosoku Training' enhances sensitivity to danger, ensuring safer driving behaviour. Existing riders, including students and school staff members, also hone their skills through slow riding activities and manoeuvring on narrow planks.
